Jen is a National Board Certified teacher who spent over a decade teaching writing and literature to high schoolers. After a transformative blended learning pilot, she shifted into the role of TOSA to support student success at a global level in Yorkville’s Teaching & Learning Department. Jen loves conferences, having presented at the local, state, and national level about learning pathways, personalized PD, writing craft, blended learning, student motivation, empowerment, and ways to maximize your LMS. She is honored to have been awarded the 2019 Illinois Computing Educator of the Year.

Jen holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology, Secondary Ed certification in Language Arts, and Master’s in School Counseling. Publications include "Bring Back the Renaissance Leader" for School Administrator (2022), "Coaching with Compassion Starts with Relationships" for Learning Forward (2022), and "Alice in Tech Wonderland" for Educational Leadership (2019). She also writes regularly for TeachBetter and IDEA. Jen is a published novelist who loves Walt Whitman, mindfulness, hiking, foodie adventures, Key West, and music you can dance to. Writing is her favorite hobby. Jen lives with her husband and two children in a house near the woods: their own little oasis.
