Conversational skills are a coach’s most powerful tool when working with teachers. This session goes over three foundational principles of effective coaching conversations: paraphrasing, questioning, and having difficult conversations. Participants observe role plays of each specific coaching conversation skill and have the opportunity to ask questions and participate in their own coaching conversations. The session concludes with specific tips and suggestions for making coaching conversations more effective and for building a culture of reflection in your school. Join us and hone your skills to listen, paraphrase, and ask good questions.
